What do you do?
I book and market artists/ tours through my business Rhythm Section who represent approx. 30 local and international artists, providing an array of services. I also dabble a bit on the bass for a few bands and record the occasional record at my studio, SkyValleyStudio.

Why do you do it?
I’ve always loved music and knew from a young age that this is what I wanted to do, and have basically structured my life around it ever since. There are always new challenges to tackle and I get to listen to great music, work with amazing people and travel the world.

What do you love about the city you live in?
I live in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. When it’s not on fire or flooding, it’s a very beautiful part of the world.

Where did you go for your last holiday?
Darwin, NT. Arnhem Land is like walking back in time.

What's your favourite item of clothing?
In winter, my beanie. Anything to cover my neglected mop of a haircut.

What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid? (If you've got kids, what's your favourite show to watch with them?)
I used to love watching 'SpongeBob SquarePants' with my kids; it’s bent. Unfortunately, they grew out of it even though I haven’t yet.

If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
The Paleolithic era; heaps fewer people on the planet.

If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?

I would order Thai. I am definitely no Jamie Oliver.

What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Know when to say ‘no’. I have a moto: ‘If it’s not a f... yeah, it’s a no.’

Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows. . .
I’m aiming to get my place completely off the grid by the end of the year (power and water) and are also working on bees, worm farms and the veg gardens; basically living my life to minimise my impact to the environment wherever possible.

Are you happy with your work, life balance?
I know I work too much, but I can't help it. Working for yourself at home has heaps of benefits, but a work, life balance is not one of them.

How do you define success?
I like the quote ‘Have a little fun, make a little money, do a little good’(Christopher S Hyatt). Making a living while enjoying what you do everyday and doing so ethically is a pretty good benchmark.

What's your spirit animal?
I love all animals, but if I had to choose one it would be my red-nosed pit bull Baxter; he’s a legend.
